One of my favorite ways to spark creativity is to start with a single card template and see just how many different looks it can create. That’s exactly what I did in this month’s FREE Card Class!
On the first Wednesday of every month, I host a free card class where we take one simple layout and transform it into multiple card designs. From festive Christmas greetings to a playful Halloween design, these cards show how changing the designer series paper, colors, and focal image can completely transform a card while still using the exact same sketch. You can get the measurements for this template at the end of this post or in the YouTube video.
The Four Cards
Christmas Crew
This winter-themed card features a snowman from the Christmas Crew bundle paired with the beautiful Whispering Woods Designer Series paper. I love the color pallette on this one!
Frightfully Fun Halloween
Who says this layout can’t become a spooky Halloween card? By swapping in the bold orange and black Frightfully Fun designer series paper and adding playful ghost images from the Oh My Fright bundle, the same template takes on a completely different personality.
Pretty Poinsettias
This elegant Christmas card combines traditional holiday colors with a striking poinsettia focal point. The metallic accents from the Neutral Noel DSP add a touch of holiday sparkle and make this card feel extra special.
Making Spirits Bright
The final card highlights festive holiday paper and a clean focal sentiment. I love the Scalloped Christmas Cheer Bundle! I use these dies for everything! The bright holly pattern from the Timeless Christmas DSP brings energy and fun to this cheerful Christmas design. The peppermint embellishments are the perfect finishing touch.
A Little Technical Adventure
