One of my favorite things about cardmaking is taking products that might not seem like they belong together and discovering just how beautifully they coordinate. That’s exactly what happened with today’s fun fold card featuring the Luxe Foliage Designer Series Paper, the September Product of the Month!

When I first opened this paper pack, I wasn’t convinced all of the patterns would work together. But once I started designing, I quickly realized how stunning these patterns look when layered together. The gold accents throughout the paper ties everything together beautifully.
For this card, I created a unique fun fold that showcases the DSP. You know I love a good flap on cards, and this card has them!! I finished the card with pumpkins and a sentiment from the Painted Patch Suite.

The best part? This design is incredibly versatile! At the bottom of this post, I have shared another card using the same measurements but features the Creative Celebrations Designer Series Paper. It’s always fun to see how changing the paper completely transforms the look of a card.
Card Measurements
Very Vanilla Cardstock
8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″
4-3/4″ x 2-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″
6″ x 2-1/8″, scored at 5-1/2″
Designer Series Paper
DSP 1: 4″ x 5-1/4″
DSP 2: 4″ x 2-1/4″
DSP 3: 5-1/4″ x 1-7/8″
Card Directions
Fold each piece of cardstock at the score line. Add glue to the tabs and glue down to the card front. The longest flap should be glued to the bottom left of the card so it aligns with the bottom of the card. The other flap should be glued at the top of the card about 3/4″ in from the left.
Glue DSP 1 to the card front so that is under the flaps but lays over the tabs.
Glue DSP 2 and 3 to the flaps.
Die cut a circle using Spotlight on Nature Dies out of Pecan Pie Cardstock.
Die cut pumpkins from the Painted Patch DSP. Adhere to the circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp the sentiment using Pecan Pie ink and glue to the front. Attach the circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Another Version
This template will work with any of your coordinating papers. Look at this version with the Creative Celebrations DSP!

I’d love to hear from you. Did you immediately love the Luxe Foliage papers, or did they need to grow on you the way they did for me?
